Kate Sala is a well-deserved popular dancer, instructor and choreographer who enjoys sharing dances and music with others
and never stopped learning, too. She was born in Nottingham, although lived in Italy on the edge of
beautiful Lake Como for a few years when she was younger. Dance has always been an important part
of her life. Kate started dance at the age of 5. Learning ballet, modern, tap and character dancing,
then progressing onto Jazz, hip-hop eventually line dancing.
From an early age, Kate was performing in theatres, touring and dancing in shows throughout Europe. In
1999 she started competing in line dance competitions; winning first place with Universal Cup and
eventually progressing to world championship level with the U C W D C. Kate soon moved onto
competition tuition, teaching and training others and instructors.
Her line dance choreography started almost immediately and was the first big boost of her career. That
then led into her now large popularity within the industry, putting her work in high demand. She is
constantly booked as a choreographer, instructor and personality around the world.
Kate Sala to date has won more than 15 Linedancer Magazine “Crystal Boot” awards, firstly for

Many dances that Kate has choreographed have become very popular and danced around the world, to
name a few are `Black Horse’, Mariana Mambo’, `Country Roads’ which is mostly popular in France.
`Louisiana Swing’, `Yolanda’, `Plan B’, `Party Freak’, Sea Salt Sally and `Simplemente’ just to name a
few!
More up to date dances are `1929', `Black Heart’, `Dancing With Cupid’ and the beginner dance
`All Good’. Recent compilation includes Crystal Boot Awards Dance of the Year 2013 - Wow Tokyo - a
joint choreography with RiaVos and the Tokyo Line Dancers, Modern Romance, I Just Wanna Celebrate,
And many more.
Kate is highly dedicated to her career, and will still be first on the floor for any good dance. Kate has
never stopped learning and enjoying sharing new dance information, music and styles with others, a
feature that unites line dancers where ever they may be in the world.
