Ready 5-6-7-8: Some More Dances before Winter Falls... Dance! (23/11)

This dance review, we look at some of the collaboration among dance choreographers in the

Line dancing world. We start off with a fun and simple dance  - Gangsta Walk - by Fiona

Murray, Roy Hadisubrato, Raymond Sarlemijn and Eleni de Kok. Then, we look closer in

Asia - 3 contemporary Asian leading instructors namely Philip Sobrielo (Singapore), Rebecca

Lee (Malaysia), Tomohiro ilzuka (Japan) with our Dutch famous choreographer - Jose

Miguel, and their joint dance - “One Dance Turn Me On”. Are you turned on my the dance?

What next? Looking at the recent WCLDM 2016 dance event, we couldn’t just consider the

Champion in the annual team competition in view of the equally versatile joint work of the

2^nd team - Tonight Again by Jo Thompson Syzmanski, Guyton Mundy & John Robinson of

The USA team. Of course, you know Pom Poms - the international team of Fred Whitehouse,

Daniel Trepat & Guillaume Richard who won the hearts of the judges in the event. Other

collaborative dances that worth a mention include Do Something Crazy - really crazy & fun

with a towel. If you are still not with us, it’s better you now peek at the dance demo below

before continuing with the dance review. Finally, we have to include this one - the steps

and sequence are so smooth as you glide along with the music - try it! Or you’ll regret…

Ok, so much for joint works. From Europe, Kristen Matthiessen mesmerizes with “Just Keep

Swimming” Indeed, we ‘swim’ on the dance hall when the music starts to play, voila! Finally,

we try out “Girls Talk” from Fred Whitehouse, who is rolling and having fun on both sides of

the Altantic. This one touches us with its opening dorothy steps, the switches, heel swivel,

& ending sequence leading into the camel walks - wow, shiok!. Got to go dancing now, chow!
